Culture and Free Thought Association Launches “Colors of Joy” Summer Camp to Enhance Children’s Skills and Leadership

A total of 1,200 boys and girls participated in the launch of the “Colors of Joy” Summer Camp activities, implemented by the educational spaces Al-Shorouq wal-Amal (Sunrise and Hope), Bunat Al-Ghad (Builders of Tomorrow), Safe Space, and Wisal, affiliated with the Culture and Free Thought Association, creating a space that combines learning and fun and provides children with a safe environment to discover their talents and develop their capacities.
The camp offers a diverse program of art, cultural, sports, and recreational activities, alongside interactive games that contribute to enhancing self-confidence, developing communication and teamwork skills, and supporting children’s mental health and psychosocial well-being, particularly in light of the circumstances facing children in the Gaza Strip.
The camp is not only about fun; it also promotes the values of participation and leadership. Children lead their own camps after electing their leaders through elections that reflect democratic practice. They then receive specialized training to help them take responsibility and lead activities.
This year’s camp is held under the slogan, “Every talent has a color… and every participant has a place”‘ reinforcing the belief that every child deserves the chance to shine, discover their potential, and express their dreams and rights—first and foremost, their right to learn, play, and live in safety and dignity.
